In the 1980s, James Moffat was sexually abusing boys and girls in his principal’s office at Kelvyn Park High school … our mentor George Schmidt worked the case for many years before the connected CPS rapist was convicted and put in jail …
that is not the end of the story it is actually the beginning …
… it shows that when you are connected and the teachers union is focused on “other things” you can remove all the history of a sexual predator from public records …
… now fast forward 40 years and we have the same people raping students in schools …
Christopher McFarland, 59, algebra teacher at Fenger High school was raping kids at Fenger High School …
The union rep at Fenger was filing complaints against the principal for corruption … the union rep was removed from the school and Stacy Davis Gates and Jackson Potter did nothing to protect their own union member against retaliation for whistle-blowing … familiar pattern … the union rep was attacked by her own union as racist …
Notice no statements from the CTU about these rape allegations by their own member … none …
No statement from the feds either … district-wide “failures” in CPS’ handling of sexual abuse allegations, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights entered the district into a legally binding agreement in 2019, mandating reforms and federal monitoring.
Corruption is a practice not only in the school system, but by the leadership of the ctu going back years … its about ideology …
The cover-up of sexual abuse in Chicago Public Schools is well documented in the news and even in its own inspector general reports … yet it continues as we see in the current Fenger case …
The one constant in all these cases is the teachers union and its inaction and in the case of Eric Skalinder it was an active coverup to allow a known sexual predator under investigation to continue to work with teachers and have access to students on the payroll of the Chicago Teachers Union.
The cover up was so blatant at Kelly High School that CPS investigators did not talk to Skalinder’s former students from the past 12 years, so they would not disrupt the school further than it already had been …
We will be working on old and new cases in 2024 to show the coordinated corruption of the school district, union and politicians to stay in power while harming children and families in Chicago …
Did we mention Moffat was represented by Ed Burke’s wife …
