Preliminary weekend data from Chicago Police Department reports show at least 14 people shot and three killed between Friday afternoon and Sunday night, October 10 – 12, 2025.
The shootings spanned twelve separate incidents across the South and West Sides, with the youngest victim just 13 years old and an average victim age of about 23.
Most of the violence clustered in Area One, which accounted for more than half of all victims.

Adult male found unresponsive in crashed vehicle with gunshot wound to head. Critical | 10th District

23-year-old male shot in chest during backyard altercation; offender in custody. Homicide #3 | 8th District
2:21 a.m. – 2100 S Albany Ave (North Lawndale)
23-year-old female passenger hit by multiple shots from offender on foot. Good | 10th District
2:50 a.m. – 700 E 61st St (Woodlawn) Two Shot
Two teens (male 17, female 16) self-transported to Comer with leg wounds and grazes. Both Good | 3rd District
7:14 a.m. – 6800 S Cornell Ave (South Shore)
Unidentified adult male shot in body, Critical at U of C. Shooter holds valid FOID/CCL. 3rd District
9:19 p.m. – 800 W 59th St (Englewood)
13-year-old boy shot in both legs near gas station by gunfire from gray SUV. Good | 7th District
Summary
