male victim, 24, was approached by an offender, 21, who produced a handgun and fired shots. The victim returned fire, striking the offender in the thigh area.
7600 block of W. Ford City, on May 28, 2023, at approx. 6:22 p.m.
The offender was transported to Holy Cross Hospital and was taken into custody.
The victim is not in custody at this time and is a valid FOID/CCL holder. A firearm belonging to the victim was recovered on scene.
Charges are pending. Area Detectives are investigating.
