1st) Foot Patrol Beat Cops in high crime areas for proactive policing … assigned in same location for minimum of 5 years
2nd) True Progressive Property Tax system based on income that does not penalize working class families if communities start becoming gentrified (their taxes don’t go up because dude next door paid 1 million for a place)
3rd) Suspend Business Taxes and city fees in blighted neighborhoods to encourage businesses to stay or move in (create a growth economy rather than investment economy) until the per cap income rises to the median income level of the entire city
4th) Suspend State Income taxes for any government employee that lives in a blighted community until the per cap income rises to the median income level of the entire city
5th) County Tax … suspend all county tax collection in a blighted community until the per cap income rises to the median income level of the entire city
6th) Corner Stores and Taverns … allow work live business spaces without increasing property taxes to commercial levels … if a person lives in the same building or dwelling as their business it gets taxed as a domicile rather than a business (encourages people to create new business in the area without having to live else where) like the city had for many years
will allow people to stay and encourage people to move in without penalizing existing residents when the area gets better … the money not paid into the tax system will get recycled into the community in term of commerce and growth spending …
