Total Nine Shot in Downtown One Dead … 100 block of N. State on November 21, 2025 at approx. 9:50 p.m.
Officers were on patrol when they observed a large group on the sidewalk. Officer’s heard gunshots being fired, and the large group began fleeing the scene.
Officers immediately responded to the area and discovered seven people had sustained gunshot wounds from the gun fire. The victims were all treated by the CFD, and transported to local hospitals.
There is no one in custody, and Area Three Detectives are investigating the circumstances involving the incident.
The injuries are as follows:
- Victim #1, m/1/14, sustained a gunshot graze wound to the stomach and is listed in good condition at Lurie Children’s hospital.
- Victim #2, m/1/15, sustained a gunshot graze wound to the left thigh and is listed in good condition at Stroger hospital.
- Victim #3, m/1/17, sustained a gunshot graze wound to the left thigh and is listed in good condition at Stroger hospital.
- Victim #4, f/1/14, sustained a gunshot wound to the right hip and is listed in good condition at Lurie Children’s hospital.
- Victim #5, m/1/16, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and is listed in good condition at Northwestern hospital.
- Victim #6, m/1/14, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and is listed in good condition at Lurie Children’s hospital.
- Victim #7, f/1/13, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and is listed in fair condition at Lurie Children’s hospital.

Downtown Homicide (2 Shot One Dead ) During Christmas Tree Lighting Events … Dearborn & Adams … 100 Block of S. Dearborn on November 21, 2025 @ approx. 10:40 p.m.
Police responded to a person shot and found two victims, which were struck by gunfire.
An unidentified male victim sustained multiple gsw to the body and was transported to Northwestern Hospital where he was pronounced.
The second male victim, 18 years of age sustained one gsw to the leg and was also transported to Northwestern in serious condition.
The 18-year-old male was unable to provide further details of the incident.
There is no one in custody and Area Three Detectives are investigating (1st District)
