I’ve been living in this city for a long time and I know there’s bad things that have happened in the past but tonight was something different … we have some very dangerous individuals ripping and running on the city streets …
For some reason they think they can do anything they want to people … behavior which has been validated by the Mayor of Chicago … and that’s the most dangerous thing that can happen to any individual … especially young people … being told it’s ok to be self-destructive and hurt others …
Someone who thinks that it’s okay to cause trauma on others … to rob, terrorize and put guns in people’s faces to steal property for shits and giggles … is on a whole nother level of debauchery …
Monday night started out slow … with a man shot to death driving his vehicle that ended up in a rollover crash with his 6 year kid who miraculously survived with only minor injuries… in the Back of the Yards neighborhood …
By then there were three robberies recorded and I figured that would be a wrap for the mayhem on a super cold 20-degree night … since that is all that CPD communications put up on their board … up until then …
But as I roamed the city and listened to dispatches from police radio frequencies, I knew the numbers were wrong already …
When I checked a few hours after my first report 12:32 AM · Nov 28, 2023, more crimes were added to the original numbers, which showed a crime spree and that still didn’t include all the calls …
So it wasn’t three robberies that I first reported, it was at least 7 and at least one carjacking … and at least two crews working the night … unless they were the flash or speedy gonzales … zooming across the city …
There were also a couple more robberies in an unrelated or related incident that has not been reported yet, at the time of the writing of this story …
so we really don’t know the amount of terror that was inflicted on citizens last night and early this morning …
For instance, what has not been put out in any major press release … is that five people robbed an off-duty police officer of his badge and gun and went on to rob at least one other person …
And there was an active threat, gun incident, at the Northwestern Law School in Streeterville … the fancy part of downtown …
Not to mention boosting by migrants in the downtown shopping district of the loop …
A lawless night on the Chicago streets for sure …
Not even the police could protect themselves …
And worst of all, the Pizza Nova Delivery Guy was robbed with an Uzi in Bridgeport and they took the customer’s pizza too …
