10700 block of S. Ewing, on June 12, 2024, at approx. 737 pm , a male victim, 67, Hispanic was approached by two young black offenders offenders, male and female, who produced handguns and fired shots. The victim was struck in the leg and was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital initially reported in good condition. Both offenders ran into a residence. SWAT is responding.
This is an ongoing situation. There are no offenders in custody, area detectives are investigating.
