Bloody Hot Killing Spree: Two Doubles Part of a Shooting Rampage Across Chicago

There were at least 8 murders in 24 hours on an unseasonably hot Tuesday … there were two double homicides, one involved a 15-year-old girl … 14 people were shot, and a couple of people were stabbed …

Things started on Northside by the Morse Red Line stop, where a 21-year-old was shot in the head in broad daylight.

Homicide … 1400 block of W. Morse Ave, on March 12, 2024, at appx 2:00 pm, a 21-year-old male victim was standing outside when an unknown male offender fired multiple gunshots in the victim’s direction. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his head and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced. https://x.com/SubxNews/status/1767832161036521761

Then, there was a double murder down in Englewood.

Double Homicide … Car to Car … 6800 block of S. State St, on March 12, 2024, at appx 3:20 pm …. Two male victims, a 30-year-old and a 22-year-old, were traveling Northbound on State Street in a Blue Sedan when a Silver Vehicle occupied by two unknown offenders fired multiple gunshots in the direction of the victims. The 30-year-old victim sustained multiple gunshots to the body and head; the 22-year-old victim sustained two gunshot wounds to the neck and head. https://x.com/SubxNews/status/1767830454713897021

then, the far south side heated up …

Homicide … 11600 block of S Yale on March 13, 2024, at appx 10:05 pm, a male victim, 30, was walking on the sidewalk when an unknown offender fired multiple shots, striking the victim, who ran into a nearby yard. The offender was observed entering a black sedan that fled westbound. Officers discovered the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the right side of the chest. The day included a killing on a Westside CTA bus.

CTA Killing … 4400 Block of W. Division on March 12, 2024 @ appx 11:10 pm … Police responded to a person shot and found that a 53-year-old male sustained multiple gsw to the body while riding a CTA Bus. A witness related to officers that the 53-year-old male was waving a knife around and approached an unidentified male. The male produced a firearm and shot the male holding the knife before fleeing the scene on foot. The 53-year-old male was pronounced on scene, and there is no one in custody. Another Double Murder in far south Roseland that included a 15-year-old female …

Double Homicide … 200 Block of W. 109th Pl. on March 13, 2024 @ appx 12:32 am. The female victim is 15 years of age, and the male is 24 years of age. Police responded to shots fired and found two unidentified victims unresponsive inside a parked vehicle. A female victim and male victim sustained multiple gsw to the body and were both pronounced on scene. Homicide … 600 Block of W. 117th St. on March 13, 2024 @ approx. 12:19 am … Police responded to a person shot and found a 25-year-old male victim who was struck by gunfire. The victim related to officers that he was shot at by an unidentified offender who fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained a gsw to the abdomen and was transported to Christ Hospital, where he is listed in fair condition. Update: The victim has been pronounced. The Days statistics don’t include people that may die at a later date, those that weren’t reported, and it doesn’t include robberies, rapes, carjackings, muggings, stabbings and beatings.
