There have been documented reports of violence and criminality involving the migrants going back months, in particular in the area of Plymouth and van Buren.
There is now a report that the victim of the migrants’ attack on Oct 2, 2023, was a homeless black man at the intersection of Van Buren and Plymouth. A brawl resulted in a black man being knocked unconscious and left bloody right on the street of downtown Chicago.

… this is the city’s fault, and whoever is supposed to be in charge of this area for the migrants and, ultimately, Mayor Brandon Johnson for ignoring the issue of violence in our city.
We also have a video where city workers told the migrants not to talk to the media, gambling, drug dealing, and undercover arrests …
It’s clear that the city has people on the ground in this area and understands media reporting of the issues that it actively tries to cover up.
